Welcome! Edufaith Educational Services offers educational insight and is motivated to help families of students with and without disabilities (diverse learners) reach their strongest academic desires and help students achieve their goals with college transition and career readiness support.  Edufaith educates families and counsels clients with individualized attention, guidance, and research with diverse learner programs such as special education, Section 504, Intervention plans, English Speakers of Other Languages, and college planning and accomodations advocacy processes. As an educator and parent of a child with a disability I know such processes can be overwhelming and daunting. I offer a dual lens and collaborative approach.
Edufaith provides professional development and trainings for districts, school, profit and non-profit organizations in the areas of IDEA, Section 504, and ESOL.

ABOUT ME

Dr. Nakia Simmons Cotton

Dr. Cotton is an author and educator that values diverse learners and unique student needs. She is the author of Essential Tips for Special Education Leaders now available on Amazon. Dr. Cotton has been in education for over twenty years, where she has served as an educator, school, and district administrator.  Dr. Cotton is passionate about providing equitable services for students with various needs who are served under Special Education, English Speakers of Other Languages, and Section 504 with College Transition and Career Readiness.

Dr. Cotton has a distinguished background in providing professional development and educating adult learners about diverse learners. Through Edufaith, Dr. Cotton aspires to support and restore faith in education for students, parents, teachers through community resources using her expertise in individualized learning.

Nakia is the proud mother of two sons Kaylon and Kristian.  She attended Florida A&M University, where she obtained her Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Nakia has her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University.

Empowering Educators at All Levels

Edufaith works with educators in a variety of areas because educators' roles are multifaceted. School districts offer great teacher and educational leader programs, however, individual coaching and support from your employer can be intimidating.  Edufaith consultation services provide coaching and support in requested target areas.
Our goals are to support teachers and leaders beyond the employer in a non-evaluative way model. With effective recommendations and strategies, collaborative meetings, and feedback to ensure that all educators are heard.

DISSERTATION COACHING

The Path to Success

Edufaith offers dissertation coaching that will help you assist with the dissertation or thesis process. As a former doctorate student, I know and understand that dissertation preparation can be overwhelming and stressful. Edufaith understands graduate students' needs and what it takes to be successful in graduate school. My goal is to help you guide you through the dissertation or thesis process by assisting with information, time management strategies, and realistic work plans for dissertation completion.
Edufaith will mentor, provide feedback, and assist through practices that can help alleviate barriers to finishing such as anxiety, negative thinking, procrastination, and other common obstacles from Chapter One to your doctoral defense.
